Courtney Weatherspoon is an operations-driven learning leader who ensures that Sankofa Leadership’s programs are delivered with clarity, connection, and excellence. As Learning Experience Manager, she supports the end-to-end execution of our customized learning journeys — managing partner onboarding, resource coordination, communications, data tracking, and participant support to create experiences that feel smooth, thoughtful, and truly person-centered. 

With over 20 years of experience supporting both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, Courtney specializes in increasing efficiency, building systems that work for people, and designing workflows that give teams more space to collaborate, innovate, and thrive.  She believes the right structure doesn’t restrict creativity — it unlocks it.

Courtney’s passion for systems transformation began in college while studying Electronic Engineering. She realized early that while technology can help solve problems, communication and clarity are what truly transform outcomes. When people understand the purpose of the work and the tools at their disposal, solutions emerge more powerfully. That insight has guided her operational career ever since.

Before joining Sankofa Leadership, Courtney worked as a Program Operations Consultant, designing streamlined processes, strengthening staff onboarding and capacity, and moving organizations from chaos to flow. She also led programming and community partnership logistics supporting youth and family stability — building her belief that every system should be designed with dignity. 

Courtney is also a proud advocate for LGBTQ+ causes and dedicates time to mentoring masc-presenting young women as they pursue their professional goals — helping them step into leadership with confidence, authenticity, and style.

When she’s off the clock, Courtney is somewhere laughing with family, discovering new restaurants, or planning her next getaway. And if music is playing? Trust — she’s dancing. Always.
